As an IT Support Specialist I have had the opportunity to experience all the processes involved with a LAN. I have worked the help desk, performed warranty repairs, managed user accounts, installed network switches and routers.
In the beginning I worked for a couple businesses in long term positions. I have been been working as a contractor for last 6 years. I enjoy the variety and get a chance to see work with varying levels of network setups, operations, and procedures.
I have two beautiful daughters, Tiffany and Kelli, and two lovely grandchildren. My free time is spent hanging out with my family.
The purpose of this blog is to provide my,a woman's, perspective on working in the IT field. I want to encourage more young girls and women to find their own interest in working in technology related fields. I truly enjoy working with technology and the constant education that is involved with keeping up.
